    Synspilum pre- spawn

    A few pics of my Syn. pair getting ready to spawn. Sorry about the algea on the glass have left the tank alone trying not to disturb them as they in in Breeding dress and pairing up... This pair have been particularly stubborn breeders... Pics do not do them justice they are bright red and yellow....

    Very nice! Thanks for sharing. Seeing some of these big cichlids gets me thinking...

    I got these when they were about the size of a nickel. They are 8-10" each and still have alot of growing left. I really like many of the larger CA/SA cichlids as they interact and are great looking.
